Writing & Other Opportunities for the 2024 HG Women’s Project Production:
The HGWP is excited to announce that we will be putting together an original production in April 2024 entitled WOMEN. The show will be comprised of a series of short plays, monologues, scenes, dialogues, etc. that reflect on all of the various aspects of the female experience – the good and the bad. It is intended to represent the full range of a woman’s life with moments of poignancy, humor, and insight. The production will offer many opportunities for women to participate as writers, directors, actors, and in behind-the-scenes roles. Kacy Hagan will be producing the show.
The first step is to begin the process of writing the pieces!

The first step is to begin the process of writing the pieces!
Here’s how this will work:
- We are looking for submissions of original pieces that could be included in WOMEN. The due date for submitting pieces for consideration will be November 30, 2023. There is no limit on the number of pieces someone can submit. Polished drafts should be emailed to [email protected].
- The pieces will be reviewed and feedback may be provided individually and/or through the participation in a read-around of submitted works that will be scheduled for early January.
- A selection process will take place to put together a cohesive yet varied production that has a balance of different styles and lengths of pieces and that hit as many of the different aspects of womanhood as possible. Not all submitted works will be able to be selected, but as many as possible will be included in the show.
