When I was a Sophomore at Lycoming College, we put on the production of She Kills Monsters. I had zero clue what this show was about and what all it would entail, but I was in for a treat!
She Kills Monsters, at its core, is a show about grief and rebirth. Agnes undergoes changes and realizations about not just herself, but her sister Tilly through exploring the world of Tilly’s Dungeons and Dragons campaign. These realizations grow throughout the show and make all the characters do some deep personal reflections.
This production really spoke to me as someone who loves the world building of Dungeons and Dragons and other role playing games, but also because I can see many facets of myself in this show. I won’t spoil what…
