Fundraising Coordinator
Stipend: 5 hrs/wk @ $20 hr
Reports to: Business Manager
Overview: The main function of this role is to help ensure the fiscal sustainability of Hamilton-Gibson and oversee the fundraising, sponsorship and grant-writing activities by a) planning and overseeing the implementation of fundraising opportunities, b) providing leadership for the process of recruiting and maintaining season and/or spotlight sponsors, and c) seeking out and overseeing the writing of grants to support the organization.
Responsibilities:
● Maintain a schedule for
- securing sponsorships
- coordinating fundraising activities with appropriate milestones
- submitting grant applications
- submitting thank you cards
- completing follow-up activities for grants
● Develop fundraising strategies
● Provide a monthly report to Board of Directors, utilizing board connections whenever possible
● Lead the Raise the Region fundraising efforts
● Work in concert with the Artistic Director and Marketing Manager to plan and implement the fundraising and sponsor recruitment aspect of the Annual Season Reveal Event
● Work closely with the Finance Committee to set annual fundraising and sponsorship goals for HG
● Direct Fundraising Committee to
- understand fundraising and sponsorship goals for the year
- work with Marketing Manager to promote fundraising activities
- maximize fundraising opportunities during stage productions, camps, concerts, and other events
