Join us for Improv Club!
Improv is a staple in the theatre world, but what exactly is improv and what do you do? Individuals during the meeting will find new skills in fun scenarios where they think on the spot and start acting with their scene partners. The purpose of the Improv Club is to have fun and push yourself in a fun and safe environment. If any individual does not wish to go up and venture into the fun scenarios during the meeting, that's okay. Sometimes it takes a few meetings to observe and get the understanding of improv. Hamilton-Gibson volunteers who have years of theatre experience, as well as improv experience, assist in running the meetings. Questions are encouraged and positive feedback will always be supplied! NEXT MEETING: We will be preparing for Dickens on the Street! Saturday, Nov. 22 @ 6pm Warehouse Theatre Gallery 3 Central Ave., Wellsboro Gabe Hakvaag will introduce the concept of a “Murphy,” which is a longer skit consisting of improvised elements, often provided by the audience. Additionally, the club will be invited to participate in the Dickens of a Christmas festival as HG’s resident Dickens Street Players. Skits performed during the festival will all feature elements of improv comedy. Dickens Day is Saturday, December 6. |
