HG Summer Theatre Arts Camps
Hamilton-Gibson Productions offers summer day camps for area children and youth, providing three locations for the camps: the Community Center in Knoxville, the Blossburg School Auditorium, and the Deane Center for Performing arts in Wellsboro.. Each camp is open to children who are now completing grades 3-8.
Each camp is a four-day exploration of improvisational acting, choreography, mime, music, art, costuming, stage movement, vocal training, and much more. A host of instructors each bring their unique interest and skill to the camp. The emphasis is on process rather than product, but there is a special presentation at the end of each camp to demonstrate what the campers have learned. Each day is focused and fun, lively and full of creative explorations.
Campers bring their own lunch on first three days. Lunch will be provided on the last day. There is an instructional fee for the camp, but scholarships are available. No child will be turned away due to financial concerns.
The camps are part of HG’s mission to provide opportunities for people of all ages to enrich and empower their lives through community performing arts. HG is excited to continue this long tradition of offering summer performing arts experience for kids: helping them to gain confidence, affirm creative potential, and enriching their cultural experience.
