The actual title is FLIGHT OF THE LAWNCHAIR MAN. In the past few weeks we've heard a number of amusing variations. The phone message the other day began, “ Do you have any tickets left for the LAWNMOWER MAN?” This perhaps is the most common mutation: some reference to a lawnmower. Others have included FLIGHT OF THE BUMBLE BEE...FLIGHT OF THE ELECTRIC CHAIR...FRIGHT OF THE CHAIN SAW MAN. One Tioga resident must have been watching animals that day as she called for tickets to FAWN OF THE WHITE TAILED DEER MAN. Another must have been reading C. S. LEWIS's NARNIA as they asked for FLIGHT OF THE DAWN TREADER MAN. Yet another joined some shows together with THE SECRET LAWN CHAIR.
One caller began “I'd like tickets for...um...for the...what is the next show you're doing?”
Whatever you want to call it, it's a lot of fun and you only have three more chances to see FLIGHT OF THE LAWNCHAIR MAN. It's full of funny moments, unique characters, singable tunes, and lots of heart. This Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7:30 at the Wellsboro High School air conditioned auditorium. Call for reservations or just show up at the door.
And don't forget auditions next week, Wednesday and Thursday, July 30 and 31 for WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION. LOTS of roles for men, and some really choice roles for women.
